The coffee van is our clubs major fundraiser.
Monthly Themes for Rotary
Each year Rotary International sets out themes for each month. This 2024/2025 year the themes are:
 
July 2024 is Maternal and Child Health Month
Aug 2024 is Membership and New Club Development Month
Sept 2024 is Basic Education and Literacy Month
Oct 2024 is Community Economic and Development Month
Nov 2024 is Rotary Foundation Month
Dec 2024 is Disease Prevention and Treatment Month
Jan 2025 is Vocational Service Month
Feb 2025 is Peacebuilding and Conflict Prevention Month
March 2025 Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene Month
Apr2025 is Environmental Month
May 2025 is Youth Service Month
June 2025 is Rotary Fellowships Month.
2024 Year
We are trying a new format for the next few months (starting July 2024).   On the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month we are meeting at the Bowling Club and will have a guest speaker.
On the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month we are just having a casual catch up at a cafe in town, we also get to sleep in a 1/2 hr as these fortnightly chat ups start at 7.30am. The 5th Wednesday of the month is a Vocational Visit to a local business.

Portland Bowling Club, each 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month

Every 1st and 3rd Wednesday we meet at the Bowling club at 7.00am. The 2nd and 4th Wednesday we meet at a local café at 7.30am and the fifth Wednesday we have a Vocational Visit 7am. Meetings finish around 8.00am.
